A relationship can be a puzzle
So many pieces to arrange and juggle
It takes effort to make it succeed
And the willingness to sow the seed
In a relationship, honesty is key
Built on trust, it's plain to see
Openness and transparency
Are the pillars of a healthy entity
Misunderstanding and conflict may arise
Tempers may flare and emotions disguise
But understanding and patience can make amends
And strengthen the bond that's meant to extend
A relationship needs to grow
All the time, day by day, row by row
It takes small surprises and thoughtful acts
Words of affection and love that impact
So let's treasure our relationships every day
And the joy and happiness they bring our way
For it's in our connection with another soul
That we rise above and feel whole.

Mama’s Boy
I’ve been a fiancé for four years and three months. We’ve been together for six and a half years total, and we have a two-month-old son together. I can’t help but think that we’ll never get married. We haven’t even decided on a wedding date. When I bring it up, he tries to escape the room as if he’s late for something more important.
