Note Men Feel Depressed too you know not just women

Women can be bullies too

The Weight He Wore Inside

He laughed at the bar,

played the part well,

a joker with eyes

that never smiled.

His friends called him lucky,

a wife, a job, a house,

but no one saw the nights

he stared into dark walls.

He carried the quiet weight,

hid it behind the bills,

behind football scores

and weekend chores.

The mirror said nothing,

it simply reflected absence,

and he wondered how long

before they noticed.

He doesn’t want saving,

only to feel something,

a flicker of worth

in this tired soul.
