Not Surprised, but Disappointed

She made it easy to move on.

I wonder is it awkward for you?

Or if you feel bad at all,

For pulling up, when he calls.

Why?

Because, you lied to me.

But even worse,

You lied to yourself.

You’re doing yourself a disservice.

You’re making your life worse and…

You don’t notice, at all.

But I see you.

Not for who you are now,

Or for what you pretend to be.

I see you, for what you could be.

I heard the determination in your voice.

I’ve seen the look that’s in your eyes,

Where did the fight go?

Why would you backslide,

To somewhere, so low?

I thought you were ready to go?

To move?

To improve? To elevate?

So what’s stopping you?

An old play date?

You deserve better.

You deserve cheddar.

And you’ll have to lock-in,

As that go-getter,

To go-get-her…

The woman you see,

The woman I believe,

You can be.

But do me one last favor, please?

Leave them wack ass,

Bummy ass niggas, be.

And when you settled & ready…

Come and find me.
