Someone Spread A Rumor

No reaction, it’s non of my business

Someone Talk about you

No reaction, it’s not true

Someone try to ruin your reputation

No reaction, the people that matter knows you well enough

Jealousy of your achievements

No reaction, focus on your own goals

Someone made a deragatory comment

Ignore it, does not hold merit?

We make the same money how come she/he seem to have more?

He/She used their money wisely and save( they stick within their means)

She/ He does not deserve what they got

They fought for what they got and patiently achieved it

Don’t react to people who have nothing better to do than to put you down.

Don’t react to people who try to find fault with whatever you try to do.

Don’t react to people who waste their time putting others down.

Don’t react to people who think they are better than others.

If you react you are just wasting your thoughts and energy

Not reacting to negativity is really a Superpower!!!!

Well said Mariann. Best to take the high road, let life deal with it.

  • Great poem. The emotions really came through with each line

When dealing with irrational cruelty, the "Gray Rock Method" is tried and true! Who knew it could also make for a good poem? <3

Love this, especially your last line!!!❤️❤️💕

  • And what a great super power to have. My other favorite way to handle such things is with a simple, "Thank you," that leaves them puzzling.

  • Gosh this is soooo true! This superpower likes to play hide and seek with me. Sometimes I'll have it but sometimes I don't 😅😅

Good work Mariann; I love this excellent message in your free verse poem. I think we were commenting on something similar the other day.. I learnt a good motto recently too “Others thoughts are NOT mine to hold” and then physically shake it off with your arms and hands! 😁 It really is a super power but a lot of practise needed. We got this!! 😃😊👏

Great verse, so true. But in “ Don’t react to people who try to find fought with whatever you try to do” didn’t you mean “fault”?

We've all got a tendency to respond to negative things rather than positive... Negativity bias is really obvious on social media, probably because people like Zuckerberg use it to keep you there and keep you engaged! It really is a superpower to grow past it! 😁
