Images seared deep in mind knots,
corruption leaks through, as company rots.
I can see why she chose him,
alcoholism for the dastardly win.
Let the lies glisten on her oozing skin,
continue to drink again and again.
Al took her hand in marriage long ago,
and maybe you don’t know,
but Al is short for — Alcohol.
But then Ed was there long before,
maybe I shouldn’t say anymore,
but Ed is short for — Eating Disorder.
How was there ever even room for me in that bed with all the others?
Leaving them all, took a great toll,
easy life, of the dice, there was no such roll.
