Cleaning a Reluctant Mess

Trigger warning: death (the type is up to interpretation)

What’s the point in continuing to try

When there’s an easy solution right here?

But I won’t do it. Too many will cry.

//

All of my effort is met with a sigh

And the hours merge into a gray smear.

What’s the point in continuing to try?

//

To be loved, I will never qualify

The best solution is to disappear.

Then I can find out if they’d even cry.

//

I sense their faces looking in to pry.

I hope they enjoy the presence of fear,

Seeing the knife. What do they think I’ll try?

//

When I bring it up, they always deny

That they’ve ever said something insincere.

Don’t console me if you wouldn’t even cry.

//

I want to see the scared look in your eye.

I want to do it with all of them near.

There’s no point in continuing to try.

I WILL do it. I don’t care if you cry.
