There is an invisible link
When your hands are bound
A tether on another plain
A tie that binds your very souls together
It is how it was always meant to be done
Not because we are inherently monogamous
Not because love never fades
But because all life is precious
And everyone deserves to have a witness to their life
A partner to walk the Earth with
Don't pick for perfection
It doesn't exists
Don't pick for lust
Your brain will stop making hormones
Don't pick for security
Nothing in this life is certain
Find the one that fits
And if the road gets too rough
And he lets go of the cord
The bond remains
And now she is no one's wife
Until he returns.
