No One Listens
Has our world turn us all on silence ?

No One Listens
No one hears the tears that fall,
As they strike the empty floor.
Each drop carries silent screams,
Yet no one asks what they’re for.
Thunder rolls with angry words,
Crashing hard from heart to tongue.
Every echo bruises ears,
Where kinder songs were never sung.
The walls have learnt to keep their peace,
Holding secrets in the stone.
Even shadows turn away,
Leaving broken souls alone.
The silence has a hungry mouth,
Feeding on what pain can’t hide.
Swallowing each whispered plea,
Until hope itself has died.
The mirror stares with hollow eyes,
Showing someone worn and thin.
A stranger trapped beneath the skin,
Who cannot let the daylight in.
Darkness folds its heavy wings,
Across a room that knows my name.
Candles tremble in the gloom,
But none can soften sorrow’s flame.
The floor remembers every tear,
Each one falling like cold rain.
It knows the weight of silent grief,
And every step of hidden pain.
If no one hears the storm in me,
Or feels the thunder when I cry,
Then let the darkness be my witness,
Until the stars forget the sky.
