It's not that no one cares

it's that you care about no one.

The room is only empty

because you lack capacity

for a full house.

And perhaps that may serve as a shield

to deter the dhampirs

but you will find much later

it wise to take inventory

rid yourself of

the clutter.

Unpack the emotional obstacles.

The screw-ups.

Yes, the haunting failures.

Don't ignore the taunting voices.

Forgive yourself.

Sentiments expire.

Life goes on.

Make your peace with that.

Make your peace with Moms.

Once you hit your twenties

excuses will no longer fly.

It's time to unlearn bad habits.

Time to say goodbye.
