Night Without Sleep
Tangled mind...
The night without sleep,
A long and lonely road to keep.
With weariness creeping in,
And tired eyes that refuse to blink.
The world around is silent,
As I lay here, feeling violent.
Against the hours ticking by,
That refuse to slow or even try.
My mind is a tangled mess,
Of thoughts and worries that oppress.
And as I toss and turn in bed,
I can't escape from what's been said.
The darkness seems so endless,
As if my fate is to be friendless.
But then I see a glimmer of light,
A ray of hope shining so bright.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath,
And feel a sense of calmness spread.
For in this moment I realize,
That sleep will come as a surprise.
So I surrender to the night,
And let go of the fight.
For with the dawn's first light,
I'll wake up to a brand new sight.
