Never Forget the Day

Poem

I never got to hold you

I never got to see

I never even imagined

Just who you would be

I never got to feel you

I never got to smile

Instead tears and heartache

Is where I've been for a while

There's so much I wanted to do

There's so much you never got to see

Like the red birds in the trees,

and the buzzing of the bees

I fall down to my knees

And pray

Cuz, I'll never forget the day

No, I'll never forget the day

When my God took you away

To hold you in His arms

In His arms you'll stay

Forever safe and warm

You'll never know that dangers

of this world

Still There's so much I wanted to do

There's so much you never got to see

Like the red birds in the trees,

and the buzzing of the bees

I fall down to my knees

And pray

Cuz I'll never forget the day
