Never enough

Depleted love

It seems not being enough resonates with too many people. The moment someone shows any kind of interest you try to prove your worth to them. But you still end up failing because you're never good enough. You try to reach out wanting to explain how you're so perfect for them, baring your soul with every word that comes out. You still get left no matter how hard you try.

Leaving you wondering what you're missing inside. You caught their attention but couldn't keep it. Wondering what went wrong, how did you lose it. Was it just a game, did they just need someone to fill a void, to pass the time, to help them get over someone else? To help them feel again, to know if love is real?

They allowed you to love them but for what... They couldn't give it in return so they took the love from you then tossed you aside. Never good enough, never someone's first choice, always just a temporary feeling, a void filler, someone to just take away the pain. They gave lies while you gave truths. They took what they wanted and didn't care that you were left depleted.

Forever just a memory, never a lasting love. Someone who showed love, an ego boost. They needed you to fix them, not to be better for you but for the next. Never looked at as someone's forever, just a temporary lover. Always a timeline with an ending.

Leaving you sitting with your thoughts: When will it be my time When will I ever be good enough When will I ever be seen When will I ever be loved Is it even possible What am I missing What am I lacking What do others have that I don't Forever broken No missing link No pieces to fix the broken Just a hurt soul that's empty inside Depleted of love Nothing left Just emptiness and pain
