Looking into my eyes, you wouldn't understand

How much of a storm rages inside my chest.

Not every river's water flows toward the sea—

Some dry up and stagnate on barren land.

Seeing my smile, you wouldn't know

How much my heart has been scarred by an earthquake.

Not every structure crumbles completely—

Some stand, even when they're deeply scarred.

Observing my existence, you wouldn't grasp

How much neglect has turned my heart into a living corpse.

Not every corpse finds its way to a graveyard or crematorium—

Some disappear silently, without anyone noticing.
