Naughty George
In the quiet of the night, with a sly little grin,
George snuck his phone and let the fun begin.
He tapped and scrolled, lost in a screen,
Through the hours, unseen.
The clock struck midnight, then past the dawn,
George was still up, the night was gone.
He yawned and stretched, his eyes were sore,
He knew he’d done this all before.
Morning came, and school was near,
But George was tired, not in gear.
He tried to rise but fell back down,
The bed’s warm comfort made him frown.
His mom knocked gently on the door,
“George, it’s time, don’t sleep anymore!”
But George just grinned, with a sleepy face,
“Maybe tomorrow, just a little more space.”
And so he vowed, with a chuckle and a grin,
To leave his phone downstairs and let the sleep begin.
With prayers said right and lights turned low,
He’d rest his head and let dreams flow.
So here’s to George, the little night owl,
Who learned that sleep is quite the fowl!
A funny tale with a gentle end,
To bed on time, my little friend!
