Narcissist

To You, Who Never Saw the Salvation in Me

So, you’re a narcissist?

A humorless, miserable thing with teeth

You want so much love, do you? You have this love, really?

Do you have the love of being a lover or simply loved?

Do you want comfort of being alone or giving true love to someone else?

You’re sex appeal, moodiness, and darkness clouds my mind.

I’m an empath, a woman of selflessness, compassion and naivety.

Should I be ashamed of your enticement?

Wouldn’t be interesting

if our souls blended?

Like hot, pink bubbles and dark blue ink rolling down the pearl sink

it would smolder and churn like a fire down the steel, dull drain

Would we be a purple royalty in the sewer, two thrones side by side

in a amidst of stagnant trash, we would be shining as enduring lovers

or a disunited puddle of

pink and blue

sad and forgotten

though together.

I am fascinated

with someone fascinated

with the love for themselves.
