Nana & Grand Forever
They didn’t need the world to see,
what they held was always known,
in the silence they would share
love had quietly been grown.
Years had carved upon their skin
maps of all they’d journeyed through,
every line a memory,
every glance a promise true.
He would lean his head to hers,
soft as if the time might break,
she would stay just where she was,
no more distance left to take.
Words became a lesser thing,
when their presence said it all,
in the stillness they had built
nothing felt too great or small.
They had weathered every storm,
days of loss and nights of doubt,
yet they never turned away,
never chose another route.
Love like that is never loud,
it’s the kind that learns to stay,
not in fire that quickly fades
but in embers that don’t stray.
Even as their bodies slowed,
even as their voices dimmed,
what they built refused to fade,
time itself just grew around them.
They were proof that love can last,
not by chance but by the will,
choosing one another daily,
choosing one another still.
