NaNoWriMo the Frenemy Poem
You must push yourself,
rush yourself,
cram in that writing time.
Steal a minute, an hour,
work until the clock chimes.
It’s a race,
a tussle,
a speedy bumbling manic;
you must scrawl everything down,
in a flurry of scribbly panic.
Some might laugh,
some might cry,
some might push it away and sigh,
is it worth it? In the end?
All this stress? To compress?
A story that won’t,
have shiny words?
But resemble more of a
shiny turd?
But hey I guess,
you shouldn’t stress,
what might crawl on the page.
Cause’ in the end,
you will have penned,
a completely finished story.
