My Teardrops

Would you?

If I showed you my teardrops,

Would you scream and tell me to stop?

Or would you collect them like rain?

Or would you handcuff me with a chain?

Or would you store them in a jar?

Would you whip me until I have a scar?

Would you follow my tear tracks?

Or would you slap, whack, whack?

From my eyes down my cheeks,

They write down their own stories.

I'm too scared to speak,

Would my sobbing make me weak?

Would you stop them with your kisses,

and tell me you'll fulfill all my wishes?

How would you make them come to a halt?

Is it by finding all my faults?

Will you hit me with a cane

to teach me what is pain?

Or would you hold my face gently

and kiss my tears happily?

Will you dry both my eyes?

Or will you hit me until I scream and die?

If I showed you my teardrops,

Would you scream and tell me to stop?

Would you show me your own,

Or would you walk away and leave me alone?
