My Story

Poem

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

I’m the villain in my story

But I’ve become the hero too

I’ll go out in a blaze of glory

Till the stars hit the roof

Every obstacle before me

I will claw my way through

I was born to succeed

And that’s what I aim to do

Petals fall like raindrops

And the other shoe too

Pedal to the medal

Till the races are through

Images are broken

And reflections are changing

Mine will be the last words spoken

It’s all mine for arranging

You can’t believe what you see

Each story has its own ending

And mine is all up to me

And I am through with pretending
