My Most Fearful Day of Work

It was just an ordinary day

"Are you here to pick up?"

"Yes. This is my name and date of birth..."

Until this came out of my coworkers mouth...

"Oh my God! A guy just got stabbed in the front of the store!"

Two of my coworkers were brave.

They walked to the front of the store and helped the victim.

I was so scared I could barely breathe.

I don't know what ended up happening

Besides an emergency room visit.

I hope he's okay.

Without even knowing him,

I know he, and his family, don't deserve that.

Sometimes I wonder if the world has gone mad! I hope things have been quieter since this incident.

Terrible event. 🙁 I’d like to think that I could help someone too.. I guess it depends upon the circumstances but my anxiety tends to make me freeze.
