My mind is a graveyard
I have buried people I once loved
at every corner lays a body few inches deep in the ground
as I stand there staring at each of the headstones, faces come into view like bullets piercing through my head
memories flood in like reels of regret
tears roll down making an ocean too deep
but each night I sacrifice my sleep
to sit on each grave letting an ocean flow out
like a lost thalassophile, grieving on the remains of those i ever loved
cause that's all that is left of them
doesn't matter how hard I hit my shovel on the ground
the memories I wanna bury six feet under float in the air above me
the faces I wanna cast away from my head, become evident with passing of each night
the helplessness hits and I look like a forlorn figure standing in a graveyard waiting for the day I get inhumed beneath the ground under my feet
