she has the heart of a lion
and the face of a child
her eyes the color of cyan
when her emotions run wild
her skin, nearly translucent
lost in the words of a song
she was mine for a moment
and then, she was gone
an illusion of beauty
all wrapped up in her smile
a gift given to me
if for only awhile
content to fly freely
as if, just passing through
to tame her, unlikely
and she hasn't a clue
my world, counterfeit
without the love of this girl
I wouldn’t change a minute of it
not for the whole world

I wrote this poem in honor of my youngest daughter. Watching her spread her wings and fly, becoming everything, she was meant to be, without fear, is inspirational.
I have the pleasure of being a front row spectator to the impact she is having on the world around her.
What a fabulous joy it is to become friends with such an incredible person, who just so happens, to call me mom.

She is beautiful and loved the heartfelt words from a proud mum! 🤍
I loved this beautiful wonderful tribute.
A wonderful tribute to a loverly young lady.
Awww, she's so beautiful! Is she Wynter? Your poem for her was so wonderful!
Beautiful picture & tribute. Will we get one for your older daughter as well?
Such blessedly lovely sentiments. I have 3 sons, 1 daughter, 6 grandsons, 1 brand new granddaughter (9/30/23). The pain, joy, grief, love, and pure exhiliration of watching their lives unfold is a miracle every day. Great job with this.
So beautiful!!
