In my life
I’ve only loved twice
I bet my life that heartbreak would downsize, ease in pain
once again it’s completely the same
I can’t breathe and the moments in my head seem beautiful, but so far away
Feels like a home I can never go back to
My anger festers but my heart’s desire is stronger
I don’t enter this world with the desire to love, it always finds me when I’m at odds
Men are attracted to my insanity, addiction on the rise, promises written
Hero’s fall through and their bravery I see
My strength is telling them why they should avoid me
But he stayed. Intention is untrue, does that mean love follows the same rule?
I’d rather be dead than feel my heart beat like this again
Eventually, I will come to the conclusion
That my actions are the cause of the dissolution
Anxiety preventing something that hasn’t been done, fear of him leaving
Like they always do.
That should be enough proof to reveal my faults
Yet I am always at a false start
I’m left holding a portion of a handwritten note.
Deciding if burning the pictures would help,
With the pain my world already wrote
In the end, I always keep one.
