My Illusions

i walk through shadows i create

illusions i believe are there

twisted thoughts are taking shape

a tangled maze of empty chairs

a whispered voice, the table set

invitations sent for you to find

and i recall what i forget

dreams and reality collide

i'm chasing ghosts no one can see

living a lie inside of me

my illusion caught between

the dark and light of broken dreams

my illusions can't pretend

and can't restart what's never been

but i'll chase your ghost with curtains drawn

till my illusions like you - are gone
