My Hunt To Let Jesus In

He is always there for us.

By Darla M SeelyPublished 12 months ago • Updated 12 months ago • 1 min read

I went to church wearing jeans, a t-shirt.

On my face were scars, a little dirt.

There were talks given. I did not hear.

I looked at nobody, felt no cheer.

I did not eat any broken bread

Or believe Jesus's blood was shed.

There was no warm smile upon my face.

I felt alone, unloved, out of place.

I went outside, was stopped in my tracks.

Two men knew there was knowledge I lacked.

They wore suits and ties, did not judge me,

Wanted me to choose to be happy.

They taught me at my house the next week.

I felt some peace when I heard them speak.

They hoped my burdens would go away,

Wanted me to read scriptures, then pray..

When they told me Jesus died for me,

I soon acquired a testimony.

My hunt for Jesus was a success.

I will follow HIM and do my best.
