Together we ride faster than light
My Horse And Me
Jumping over hurdles my horse and me
the field is wide the air is free
each leap we take is trust and flight
a bond unbroken strong and right
The grass bends low beneath his feet
the rhythm steady the heartbeat sweet
his eyes are fire his breath is true
he carries me and I carry through
The fence ahead is tall and near
we rise together without fear
his muscles strain his spirit flies
and I am lifted to the skies
No gold could ever buy this way
the silent song we share today
through mud, wind and any trials we find
a single path a single mind
When we are weary still we go
over each hurdle steady and slow
for faith is more than just the run
it is the two becoming one
I whisper thanks he hears the sound
our shadows race across the ground
in every leap I come to see
he carries more than only me
The hurdles fall behind at last
we do not linger on the past
for every jump has set us free
my faithful horse and me
