My Heart Never Understands Wicked People

Maybe I trust too easily ? I do not want to see wickedness

My Heart Never Understands Wicked People

My heart never truly understands
The souls who choose to wound.
They walk where kindness cannot breathe,
Leaving gentle spirits entombed.

They freeze the warmth within my chest,
Until my laughter turns to stone.
Yet they never stop to wonder,
How lonely cruelty leaves its own.

I have searched for goodness in shadows,
Believing every heart could bloom.
Only to find some gardens withered,
Where love could never find a room.

My blindfolded heart kept trusting,
Seeing light where none remained.
It reached for hands that carried winter,
Then wondered why my soul felt chained.

Words can bruise without a fingerprint.
Silence can become a knife.
Some people steal another’s sunshine,
Simply to brighten up their life.

Still I refuse to grow like them.
I will not let bitterness decide.
For if I lose my gentle spirit,
Then something beautiful has died.

My tears have washed away illusions,
But not the hope I carry still.
For somewhere kindness waits in silence,
Beyond the darkness of their will.

So let the wicked keep their echoes.
Let them chase an empty throne.
I’d rather walk with a truthful heart,
Than stand victorious alone.

The candle in me still burns softly,
Though many tried to steal its flame.
They never understood one simple truth…

Love is never weakness. It is the bravest fire
A heart can ever claim. If you do like my poetry, maybe a small tip would be a lovely gesture. Not compulsory though ❤️
