My flower dreams

The weird and wonderful created blooms

My flower dreams

Purple swirls bleed behind tall red flames,

grassy leaves sway in a silent rhythm,

I breathe in deep — the flowers call,

their scent pulls me into a quiet trance.

A figure appears, strange and still,

his eyes ask softly, “Would you like to dance?”

The world bends slow, colors twist,

I step forward thinking who and what is this?

The red blooms pulse beneath our feet,

the purple haze wraps tight around my mind,

we move like shadows, strange and free,

lost inside this painted reverie.

No words needed, only the sway,

the strange man smiles, and time drifts away.

Soon he’s gone, the flowers wilted,

by a strange fellow, I think I just be jilted.
