Are Food and Love Connected ?

We all know what love is. At the simplest level, love just means intimated connected to somebody else that is not only soul-soothing but also deeply fulfilling and nourishing. And one of the best ways to increase this intimacy is through food.

Food and love, there can be no denying of the fact that they are both inextricably connected and hit the very centers of our brain that produce dopamine, the hormone for happiness that makes us feel good. In fact studies has shown that we reach our closest level in relationships through food, plain and simple.

And here are some haikus that celebrate some comfort foods.

Ketchup is comfort food,

comfort for me to eat her stuff

and praise her cooking.

Pizza tastes divine,

nibbling together in bites

until our lips meet.

Spinach Dip

Tasty spinach dip,

becomes, even more, tastier

during kitchen romps.

Lips open, gliding in,

the Ramen noodle waltzes

over her moist lips.

Pomegranate Juice

My lips are deep red,

is it from pomegranate juice

or her red lipstick?

Mayonnaise

The Mayonnaise drips

on the crusty bread from his lips

What to be eaten first?

Manchurian Gravy

Manchurian gravy

sloshes over the noodles.

steam rising within me.
