My Favorite Color

Roses are red, Violets are blue but my favorite color is whatever color you’re wearing when I’m starring at you

From the color of your cheeks to the color of your eyes to the color of your lips to the color of your sigh

Those are the colors that I think of at night, when you aren’t next to me and I’m smiling with a smile that I just cant seem fight

Those are the colors that I hold onto when my days aren’t so bright

You are my favorite color and I can’t fully explain why

what I do know is that If I ever get asked what my favorite color is;

the answer is your name because you’re my favorite color no matter the day.
