My Dahlia

in the night

I can live in this

a shivering body

close to fading

close to disappearing

a moment from breaking

my love singer in silent embrace

I live in this instant

Oh love, you live in a blind shadow, fresh in full bloom of a dark dahlia

love be bound quickly before the light of day burns its delicate beauty

in a small dawn, I stand alone with open arms to the sky

my mind speaks of these

a time where tortured delights slinks away under closing eyelids

back to the world which lives for me

when the night surrenders to the day

softly retreating, my heart wakes in a dream

Kayla McIntosh

This is just my personal journal. I needed somewhere to write my thoughts, and I thought here was pretty good.
