My Comfort Place

My poem for the ‘Get comfortable’ challenge

What is my comfort place?

What it stands for to me is to find somewhere that would keep me safe and pleased.

When I am not in my comfort place–

I lost it and then I got overwhelmed.

It has been very stressful every day and night–

Twenty-four seven.

So many things to deal with—-

Overwork with multitasking at home–

Too many errands to run–

heat waves in the summer–

worst storms from the bad weather—

Rain!

Thunder!

Lighting!

Each time I have to keep reminding myself –

When things are getting overpowered –

I have to do things that would-

To Keep me alive–

To calm me down-

To Find myself peaceful-

Need to find a quiet area–

Take a deep breath and meditate–

Need to rest—

Or a nap in my comfy bed—

Snuggle with my cat–

Hugging my old stuffed toy–

Writing with the inspired exercise from the self-guided journals-

Watching that keeps me entertaining, laughing, and relaxing-

I have to enjoy the little things in my comfort zone–

My comfort place does not have to be perfect–

It was just right.
