My comfort blankets...

I wake to the smell of a freshly brewed coffee,

and my husband greets me with a good morning kiss.

My son arrives home from a hard day at work,

with a smile and sense of achievement, or even bliss.

My daughter is snuggled up on the couch,

sipping hot chocolate with her beloved man,

its like they are permanently joined at the hip,

and see each other whenever they can.

My husband comes home from a long day at the office,

we do the daily quiz and eat dinner together.

We have a good laugh, and talk about our day ,

and our hugs for each other, are made for any weather.

I have a family that loves me, who phone me and visit,

and want to know what i have been up to.

My beautiful friends that i have had for years,

always compliment me on what i can do.

You see i am unable to do all of the things i used to love,

But i have good food in my stomach every day,

and i am covered by an old (but stable) roof above,

these things bring me comfort ,and i am grateful in every single way.
