My Baby Boy

I remember you inside my stomach

Giving you up for adoption was the plan

Now you’ve graduated from High School, a man

Tears in my eyes I am filled with joy

I am so proud of my once baby boy

Every grade you swiftly passed

Now you graduated at the top of your class

You’ve growing up so fast

Hands around you holding you tight

To let you know what you are doing is right

Kissing your cheek, being so proud

Shouting that’s my boy out loud

Yes, that’s what his parents that adopted him did

I stood in the corner, happily and hid.
