My Apologies

This petty foolishness

This hurt and retribution

There is enough damage all around

There is blame enough to share too

There are endless apologies due

Who can even begin to go first at this point

We can both hope to go last

To end this hellish "Merry-Go-Round"

There is no talking

Only assumptions

Only other people's opinions and interpretations

Only reading between the lines

I'm failing at focus

Re-focusing to be exact

I want to immediately respond

But I need to think

I need to do better

Because I can

And I thought I would have more time

To practice on being better

To learn from your example

Because we are just humans

Trying to find love

While healing from hurt

And we all deserve a

Little Love

Happiness

And Peace

I'm sorry for the part of me that forgot that

That forgot us

You can find her again

Whenever you need her

She'll still be sorry

And she'll still love all of you
