Murdered
A siren cried along the lane
Mixing fear with heavy rain
People gathered near the tape
Watching horror take its shape
Blood stained concrete near the wall
One cold shot had changed it all
Another soul erased too fast
Another future lost at last
His mother shook beneath the light
Calling his name through endless night
No reply came through the air
Only silence answered there
The papers wrote another line
Another death another crime
Faces turned away too soon
Underneath the fading moon
Friends stood still beside the gate
Speaking low about his fate
Anger moved through every street
Like thunder under restless feet
Candles burned beside his name
Nothing ever stayed the same
Pain spread wide through every home
Leaving hearts to break alone
The city carried hidden scars
Beneath smoke and passing cars
Young lives vanished every year
Leaving families drowned in fear
Now his picture fills the wall
A reminder of the fall
Murder stole his breath away
Still his memory stays today
