Moving On

#VocalNPM

By Toni ClarkPublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

Every day I pick myself up again.

falling so deep just the night before.

You're everywhere.

Music.

A drive down the road.

My bedroom.

You're in everything.

I can see your face.

I smell your cologne.

I hear your laugh.

Why can't these feelings disappear?

I'd regret that even more.

Pulling the blankets over my head.

my pillows turning wet.

I can't breathe.

My hands turn cold.

A shiver runs through.

Please.

Just breathe.

Your face fades.

My eyes close.

I will pick myself up again.

Falling so deep tonight.

Eyes swollen.

Head pounding.

Heartbroken.

I made it through another day.
