Movie theatre popcorn melts in my mouth
Butter pooling on the popcorn pieces
Watching Hollywood movies all about
beautiful wives and beautiful nieces
Snacking as I watch the way things were then
Staring as all of the movie stars win
Looking at people beginning again
Overlooking the sins of mankind
Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe
It is time to eat another kernel
Dancing, and singing, and just letting go
Movie stars they look just so beautiful
Butter melting inside of my mouth now
The curtain closes and they take a bow

Standing Still
There are very few moments in life where time truly stands still. When your breath is taken from your chest and your body hangs weightless in that moment. Just long enough for it to stay with you from that day onwards. Deep in the red sands of the Australian Outback, I found that moment and clung to it forever.
