Rising up to touch the sky,
Mountain peaks that scrape the clouds,
Ancient sentinels, proud and high,
Their majesty makes us feel endowed.
Rocky cliffs and rugged terrain,
Eons of time etched into stone,
Enduring symbols that remain,
Of the power that nature has sown.
The icy peaks, the glaciers blue,
Bear witness to the changing clime,
But they stand strong, steadfast and true,
A testament to the passage of time.
The mountain air is crisp and clean,
A breath of life for those who seek,
The peace and beauty that can glean,
From nature's bounty, pure and meek.
So let us gaze in wonderment,
At these giants of the earth,
And feel the power and contentment,
Of the mountains' enduring worth.
