A tribute to my mother’s letters

Every day as a kid my mother always wrote letters on my lunch.

Caring words of inspiration to remind me she loved me a bunch.

I was embarrassed by them. Trying to hide them from my friends.

Looking back I wish those letters never had an end.

These beautiful letters always reminded me I was loved.

Spoken words from a departed angel watching from above.

A beautiful recollection of what it was like to be her only son.

Affectionate and everlasting. Pure love is never done.

Food for the heart and no one ever did it better.

The child in me will always miss my mother’s letters.
