Thank you mama

For the love you have given me,

For the first day I came into this world,

Your gentle hands were there to hold me,

Shelter and cuddle me with your kindness.

As I grew,

You kept me away from harm,

Warm from cold and,

Protected from the pain of hunger.

You taught me to speak my first word,

‘Dad'

And much to regret,

‘No’.

You helped me take my first steps,

And my scream with joy at the sight of,

Silliness and,

Fuzzy animals.

As I grew from baby to child,

You stayed strong by my side,

Kissing away mistakes,

And wiping away tears.

Fights with cousins,

And broken toys,

Seemed too great to overcome,

Until your patient voice calmed me.

Maths homework,

Driving to different hobby classes,

Picking up perfect dress for the party,

You did all for me.

Never did I,

Hear your complaint, or

Loose strength,

In your love for me.

Because of this,

I have grown stronger,

And proud with your love,

Ready for a new journey in my life.

I have your guidance,

To lead me as,

I follow you down,

The path to a young lady.

Although words can never be enough

I’ll say it again

“THANK YOU MAAMA!!!”

“THANK YOU MAAMA!!!”
