The smell was sweet
A fresh fruity but musty scent
That moved through the trees
On the rays of early morning sun,
A quiet rang through the trees
A path well cut by nature
And cared for by no one else,
The elements creating and altering
In ways known best-
Our human hearts stood still
Observing, absorbing
Taking in peace
Before the rest of the world
Awoke for another day.
