I've been thinking about how we've been
walking along on the weekend
wondering why we're meant to bend
like the tree against the wind
while wine is flowing down an open brook
love is not a storybook
like the broken shards of glass, we walk onto show how much we care
love is not the time we share
love is not how much you make me question the reality that I sought to sow with you
but instead, I lost all that I knew
love is true
and love is not everything that you buy or tell me to believe
the mask is but a falling leaf
and while I know how much I wanted you to be true
love is not me and you
