He’s not related to her by blood

But is “Grandpa” just the same

Oh my lord how her eyes light up

At the mention of his name

He’s been there from day 1

And that was 4 years ago

To see the bond created

Sets my heart aglow

They laugh and dance and do funny things

That only he can do

She rarely leaves his side

There’s nothing he won’t do

Her little face lights up so bright

When he walks into her space

He’s someone she can count on

That no one can replace

For love is what makes a family tree,

Not just a shared last name.

He is her forever hero,

And she is his brightest flame
