Don’t lecture me about my morals and values

My preference gets longer and longer and harder to find

God isn’t answering this prayer

How specific I have to get

I don't want to be tested on this

I here you, “Wait”!

But God I’ll been waiting for a long time

And I keep running into guys playing in face

Effecting my mental

Not bringing me peace

But they check all the other boxes

God-fearing ( to a degree )

Financially stable

Independent

Willing to grow

Willing to teach

And give me the attention that I want

But somehow you still send them to me still as a no

God what am I missing

You said put you first and I am

Being a good girl and getting nowhere

Okay you right, Lust is just as sinful

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…”

Okay, okay, okay

*(Big Sigh)*
