On the solstice in June
Under a full Strawberry Moon
Within a field of wild flowers
Dancing under the meteor showers
Barefooted, in her gown of white
She glows in the moonlight
Her glorious hair hanging loose
She happily shakes her caboose
Her energy recharged
Toxicity discharged
Tingling with her power
In the witching hour
She cries more more more more
Chanting her song, she’s a figure to adore
Oh, you know she’s a keeper
This late-day sleeper
A goddess in disguise
Through the meadow she flies
Round and round she goes
When she stops, no one knows
Celebrating her independence
With only nature in attendance
In joy, her skips turn to leaps
As the world around her sleeps
The smell of trodden meadow grass
Invigorating the lass
Causing her to move faster and faster
She danced as if she had no master
Hers was the night
Belonging by birthright
So she laid her claim
With not an ounce of shame
She proudly practiced being spiritual
By performing her annual ritual
Rejuvanating herself
To purify one self
There’s strength to gain
By not breaking this ceremonial chain
So she dances like no one is watching
Performing the steps without botching
She never makes a mistake
Her goddess she’ll never forsake
For Selene’s goodness is not fake
So the dancer never takes a break
In her moon worship
She continues gyrating her hip
For the goddess rewards
Marking her followers in her records
So, dance on, Dancing Queen
Move like a dancing machine
