Moonlight Bliss

A Poem

By George GriffithsPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The moonlight shines upon my face,

I lay there in my bed - safe.

It paints itself around my bedroom walls,

The floor and my bed.

I keep my curtains open; I enjoy the company of this moonlight and the stars that flicker across the sky.

I’m within this midnight bliss,

I’ve received natures kiss,

Nights like this I don’t want to sleep -

I just want to enjoy the moonlight bliss.

The sky is clear, not black but a dark blue, a deep ocean of blue.

The trees are swaying in the gentle wind,

The sound - it relaxes me.

I’m not thinking,

My mind - it’s just resting,

My heart is singing,

It’s singing for this moonlight bliss.

I’ve received natures kiss,

Moonlight bliss,

I remember nights like this.
