The moon on the land,
A beauty so grand,
In the darkness it stands,
A sight oh so grand.
It illuminates the night,
With its soft, gentle light,
A reflection of the sun,
A sight that's second to none.
Like a girl with her grace,
She lights up any place,
Her presence, a calming force,
A beauty that's hard to ignore.
She's a reflection of the moon,
A natural beauty in full bloom,
Like the moon on the land,
She stands, oh so grand.
In her eyes, a reflection,
Of the moon's gentle perfection,
A light that guides the way,
Through the darkness, come what may.
So let the moon and the girl,
Illuminate our world,
With their beauty and their light,
Guiding us through the darkest of nights.

The Golden Valley
The difference between light and dark could be as quick and simple as a flip of a switch, the drawing of a curtain, the opening of one’s eyes. It could be more gradual like the slow adjustment of the diaphragm on a microscope, the turn of a planet on its axis, the growing light as you approach the end of a tunnel. A flicker in the dark, a steady glow in the distance, a flash in the night sky.
