I stand in the shadows
Where no one can find me
Here I am safe
Safe from the monsters
They will tear you apart
And watch you burn
They laugh at your pain and suffering
They find joy in sadness and despair
They feed on the misery of others
Everywhere they hide
There is no escape
Even in the dark I am not alone
Some monsters hide here too
The monsters have many names
But I only know them by one
They are society
