Monster In My Closet

Little girl's experience being held captive by one of America’s most wanted

Children fear the monsters in their closet

The monsters under their bed

They count on their parents to convince them it's in their head

But what happens when one parent is a monster themselves?

The other then carries full trust and dependency of that child

They are the protector, provider, support and comfort

They are one and they r all

The child's everything.

In early childhood, a her mother will open the door for safety to ensure

Then the child grows older

new fears are expected

Questions are asked and answers requested

New people come and go as the growing child is accepted and rejected

These phases are supposed to be stages we out grow.

But, when childhood fears return in later years

It is minimized by all

This is when bridges begin to fall

The monster in the closer is back and bigger than ever

though this fear was not created

Mind over matter will not defeat it

For mercy the child pleaded

But words and cries were not what this monster needed

He wanted the child's soul depleted and would not stop until he succeeded

He knew manipulation would lead to the child's isolation

Where he could begin the daily violation

Starting with her mother

Making it seem like he was nothing more than a tale with the child as his creator.

Isolation sunk the child into a state of depression

Searching for anything which the pain it could lessen.

He knew it was the perfect time for introduction of substance

Oblivious to specifics the pure child accepted them all

In hopes they would make her life ending call

Knowing this, the monster gave her just enough

To keep her coming back as home life got rough

A child once happy with the world in her hands ready to succeed

Now strung out

Kicked out, on the floor bleeding

With cuts on her wrist to change the pain she was feeling

From emotional to physical...something she could handle

He sees her hot rock bottom

Knows he's all she has

He manipulates farther acting supportive on the child's behalf

But now the child is starting to see

How truly evil this man can be

Scared in the closet she tries to leave

But that was not his plan for her

And now the other side of him she finally sees

His face no longer kind

Telling the child of his plan the whole time

How easy it was to get her alone,

No one to call he took her phone

Holding her down half conscious to think

As reality is being slammed so raw in her face

While  she's forced to the ground

He starts licking every place

Tears fill her eyes but he laughed at her cries

Laughing saying no one will believe her lies

A MONSTER?

Only around when no one is home?

The child begging for pain no more

Mommy Mommy !

There really is a monster!

Why couldn't you just open the door?!?
